This well-known government organisation specialises in providing top quality blood plasma-derived products for the global market. They are now seeking a Microbiologist to work on a 6-month contract (there is a possibility that this may be extended or become a permanent position).
We are seeking applications from candidates with a good degree in microbiology or related subject and practical microbiology experience, preferably from within a commercial laboratory. A good understanding of GMP * GLP will be a distinct advantage.
The main duties of the role will include microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process and finished product samples. This will include sterility testing of finished products, endotoxin testing of water samples and the monitoring of aseptic filling and processing areas. Full training will be provided.
You will start your training on a 9am to 5pm basis but will quickly be transferred to a shift pattern in alternate weeks of 7am to 3pm and 11:30am to 7:30pm.
